I don't care what anyone says I love Cetaphil moisturizer! I used to use it and now I am back. Since I am older my skin really needs moisture and this goes into the skin and is absorbed I repeat there is no oily residue and your skin absorbs this moisturizer .................... unlike others where I had to wash it off before I put my makeup on so whats the point of that if your skin is going to feel awful!

I am a new mom and really have NO time so in the am I wash the face with some coldish water to wake myself up and slather on the Cetaphil and go tend to baby. In the middle of the day I will add a shimmery lipgloss just to feel in touch with my pretty side, after changing diapers I need a reminder. I like my hair back and that's just because it is convenient and neat and How dumb would that be if baby is spitting up to have my long curly locks in vomit, No Thanks! LOL

We all went to Jersey for the weekend to see my sis in law and nieces and had a great time! We did a bit of scouting out the area and realized that the area is pretty rural and we love that! There are fabulous stores and I went and got Baby Girl more cute stuff, of course. The weather was beautiful and the sunset was so pretty it made me long to be there and finally at that moment when I saw the mountains with those gorgeous pink and red colors that painted the sky, I felt like I was Home. It is a feeling that I have not felt for a long time, and it felt comforting and safe. I want Isabella to always have that feeling and not search so long for it like we have.

My 10wk old had a messy mess so I went upstairs to get another snuggly pajama and this is how I found her! She rolled over already!!!!!!!!!! Now she wants to crawl and gets so annoyed when she is trying but does not move

I actually bought myself 3 pairs of amazing jeans from the Lane Bryant, where they were so helpful because after having Izzy I had no jeans in my closet and had no idea of what size I would be anyway. So now I have super cute jeans in my perfect size and shape and it only took me trying on like 10 pairs of jeans! I got a haircut and feel so much better!

If you are curvy like me, go to and get yourself a pair of jeans! I had a coupon and got 3 pairs for less than $60.00!!!!

Another fav of mine is Burt'sBees for natural stuff like lotions and feet cremes and chap stick and now super shiny lip gloss! They are great I love the red! So light and pretty but still sassy ..........I like my cheeks and lips to have color when I wear makeup because I like to look living. So my birthday has passed and it was an exciting day LOL I was scheduled to go to court that day and Thank God all I had to pay was a fine! My dad payed my fines and that was the best Bday gift ever :) We then all went to dinner and it was really nice, but I can't go out to eat anymore without getting sick, which sucks! I am not sure why my stomach is sooo sensitive these days. I am happy with my body even though it has gone to war, pregnancy really is war on the body because EVERYTHING is affected. I think my body is wonderful because it was strong and healthy and brought a beautiful child into this world. I think all women should think of their bodies in that way and maybe they would not be so hard on themselves. Like your body has a purpose babe so love it for that reason alone. We took Isabella out over the weekend too and we had so much fun visiting. I went shopping and got her so many cute little ruffle and lace dresses and a snow suit to keep her warm in winter. They're are so many things that I can't wait for us to do together! I already have paints for her and lots of papers when she is ready to paint. I know, I know that won't be for a while!

Who the heck knows what will be. We decided to move to New Jersey because we want to be in an area that is beautiful and closer to my husbands family in Netcong, who are really wonderful and supportive especially with Isabella! There are other reasons we want to move, we want more positives in our life. A happy mommy and daddy equals a happy family. I have been journaling to Izzy and am trying to put together something pretty with all her pics. I feel with the move I will be in a better place mentally and will be able to more easily concentrate on getting my jewelry business up and running again because I am drowning in sparkling earrings because I am obsessed with well Was with making jewelry. I say Was because I really haven't been able to make hardly anything with Izzy here LOL I know when you are in a happy place mentally you can be more productive.

I like to journal and to blog it helps me air out my head. That's all for now...

What a wild ride this thing called parenthood is. I want to do basic things and just can't find the time or am just too tired. Hobbies are not for parents with newborns LOL

I am thinking of doing a trunk show for the Christmas Holidays, I don't know if I can manage that, because I would like to really make new things and put together a gorgeous display but I am not sure I can pull this off just yet. I mean so far in this whole month Whoowhooo I made one pair of earrings LOL I work for Isabella now, :) so she is #1 in my world. I saw a beautiful mixed media painting of a mother and daughter with the words

"The strength of my love for you. After all your the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside"

I was very emotional about this because those words only hit the tip of the iceberg so to speak when you talk about a mother's love for her child.

Anyways now I am trying to get back to a healthy weight, but because it will be easier for me to run after my Bella. I feel good in my body now I am content and feel OK about being me. They're just so many more important things in life to worry about than a few extra pounds.......it is more about how I feel now. I want to treat myself better. After all, I see how I treat my Bella, and I look in the mirror and look like Hurricane Michele LOL but I feel good at least but I would like that to match on the outside so people stop telling me I look sooo tired....Yikes!

So today I was feeling a little cranky due to the lack of peaceful sleep that does not exist for me anymore now that Izzy Babe is here. I love being a mom but I wish I could just stop time so I could do a bit more of what I wanted to do like let's see, hmmm......... shower.... LOL Time to put makeup on. I went on a lil artsy spree today I got 2 moleskins for my Suzi Blu journal class and some really awesome watercolor paints and really bright colored inks and some swarovski crystals! Go me! Anyways that stuff makes me happy. Making art makes me happy and I still will continue to make pretty pics and jewelry, when ever I can :)

What a sweet girl. She is the most perfect and beautiful baby. She giggles and makes cute little noises and even snorts sometimes when she eats. She cries at night at times but when I hold her she stops for the most part. I thought I was going to be doing fleas and working on jewelry HAHAHAHAHAHA so naive. Anyway i work for her now LOL I find myself holding her pacifier for her at night so she doesn't cry. My Bella has the cutest wardrobe ever and right now she is sporting a green onesie that says MOM'S SUNSHINE, which just melts me. That is part of being a parent, a really great part. Her father Chris could not be more excited and really has helped soooo much while he was off for two weeks, now that he is back to work, I have to do most of the child caring, (Big Shocker)but we will work something out when he gets home so I could rest too.

Step By Step

I have many thoughts of how my life will change now that Isabella will be arriving next week either the 13th or 14th.....................I am going to be induced because I am over my due date and she's growing growing growing. This was unexpected but what can you do. Hopefully labor will not take too long but I am realistic and know that It will most likely take a day in a half. I guess it is just one of those things that you have to just let go and just try to not get too overwhelmed with thought. I try to see the positives in any situation and I am happy that my whole family will be there to support me. My mom's side/Dad's side/Hubby's side which is really wonderful I have to say, even if we have our differences in the family, I know I can depend on them all. I even have some wonderful older neighbors who are like surrogate grandparents who are always kind to us. I don't think I always appreciated people in my life as much as I should of, that has changed now and I am really happy that Isabella will have all these people around her who will adore her.

Anyways I was just thinking.......

I will tell you living in New York in my opinion is just the most expensive place one can live. It is a great place to be, but I am in love with a slower and simpler lifestyle. I always wanted to move upstate or out of state for this reason. There can be lots of red tape to having your own business and to sell at fleas here in NYC, not to mention really high booth fees. Some places can be over $180 for a weekend day! I lived in Florida for a few years and I had my own business and I did well and it was a very different experience than what I have experienced here.

We do LOVE Williamsburg, Brooklyn because it is really a great place for the artsy folks and has many great places to eat and shop. Also Starting September, I hope to do at least one flea market weekend a month, I love being at flea markets, you meet some really cool people and it will keep me motivated to make new art. I just always loved this print that I found years ago, not sure who the artist is. I often just love to look at his picture and daydream. I now think of it as Isabella knocking on this beautiful door from Heaven awaiting for it to be opened so that she can be here with us and be born already!!!!!

Due date is this Saturday so I Am So Exited And Anxious!!!

I love my angels these are from DEMDACO and the artist is Nancy Carter, they weren't too expensive and so I tried to get as many as I could. From her Journey Of Grace Collection. I guess I collect angels, I love them and seem to have them all around the house but these I will have to say are my favorites!

Working on Jewelry Today

Not much going on here I am just happy to be working on some new jewels today. I like colored metals, so I think my new designs will feature some of that stuff. I try to be different with my creations, like for instance, I feel everyone is doing religious themed metal jewelry and I have to admit I made a few really cool pieces that I will probably keep, but I find that no fun if all the popular jewelry looks the same. I was really inspired by some beads I saw in Belle Armoire from a really creative artist who reinvented the plain wood bead into such a thing of ornate beauty, she collaged them and beaded them and I who love glitter will probably glitter the hell out of them LOL so to the land of obscure is where I want to go today. I thought Baby Isabella was coming in on arrival but it was a false alarm! Me and Chris went to the hospital where they did some tests and nothing happened! I was really disappointed! I mean of course I was happy with the good news that nothing had ruptured and the stream that escaped was normal for women especially so close to their due date. (Aug 6th)

Well I don't know why but in the car ride home I started to cry because I wanted to see my daughter sooo badly and I felt a huge void that she wasn't driving back home with us. Does that sound insane! I am trying to keep busy but my thoughts are with her always and I think this 2 weeks will be the longest in my life!

Also, I had another beautiful Baby Shower over the weekend with my Dad's side of the family at their house and had a wonderful time. Everyone got me the most adorable baby clothes ever! Pinks and little lace socks in purples. I even got my peg prego stroller and carrier in purple! The cake was so good.......... Strawberry Shortcake.

The food was excellent there was paille, quesadillas and baked ziti and all sorts of other yummies. It was really low key and I got a chance to relax and hang out with the family which was great. I really appreciated the fact that my step mom really put everything together so beautifully and I felt really loved. So it's all about the Love for me and It is nice :) Everyone is so excited that this baby is coming even my super cute nephew who just turned 1yr want to touch my belly and looks at it in awe. I am not sure he understands when I say that there is a beautiful baby in there like him that wants to come out but I know, he knows, something is going on with that big belly! And my other sister is about 3months pregnant too now, so all our kids are going to be like 1yr or less apart! :) LOL

I am really ready for this transition in my life and I feel like everything that I have done up to this point has paled in comparison to the joy and fulfillment that I feel now.

I really want to paint today let's see if that happens, my mom is coming over later to give me some TLC to my feet, which have not been seen by me in a while so they are horrible and I am really bloated now. More joys of pregnancy! LOL

Isabella Arriving Soon & Art Talk

Yes I am about to POP literally in 2-3 weeks now, so I am officially sofa bound and truth be told I don't feel like doing anything. As I told you all before I get really bad pains and sciatica in my legs so they are like gumby legs. I do push through and still vacuum, clean and cook. It is frustrating to be limited and constantly going to the bathroom because you think you will burst and nothing happens.......... this is especially fun at night when I have just gotten semi comfortable on my 1,000 pillows and used a tetris style method to fill in the gaps so I don't feel any pressure and I have to get up. LOL............. The Joys of Motherhood :) I just can't wait to hold Izzy! I have everything ready for her. She'll be hanging with us for the first few months which will give us additional time to decorate her room. Her crib is so fabulous, a gift from my sister in law. It has curved lines and is shabby chic white with floral carvings. I will show ya when the room is done.

Anyways, I am staying really calm and making art with Suzi and jewelry with Deryn. I am very happy and love these little works of art that Suzi is making now in her new LA LA LA Class. I started making little paintings and have made a few cuties but Suzi's are over the top adorable. Check out her Petit Academy the link is on my sidebar, where she offers many wonderful classes.

I don't remember whose blog this idea was on but what a fabulous idea! I think they called it The Muffin Tin Challenge, I will try to find them again and let you all know. Simple but brilliant idea........If you have a muffin tin, just go through all your beads and pick all the findings and beads you would want to complete one full piece of jewelry and make it! It keeps everything neat and portable which is great for me, because I am all over the place. And you could have up to 12 pieces of finished jewelry when your done.

Baby Shower & Real Talk

My Baby Shower was wonderful! My mom had it for me at a local Italian place, where the food was amazing and they got one of my favorite cakes which is a Napoleon cake but since I love chocolate so much, my mom had them add a layer of chocolate inside and on top! I got so many baby things that I really have not bought anything for Isabella! I still have to get a cute little hat for her for when she gets home for the hospital, so her little head is protected from the sun.

She will be staying in our bedroom for the first few months and I am just so excited I almost, almost forgot the pain that goes with having a baby. I resolve this fact by telling myself that all the women I know, have gone through it and made it and even had gone on to have more children! I am happy with my doctor so I feel everything will be OK, I am just anxious since the time is getting really close.

I have like 4weeks to go! YAHOOOOOO I fantasize about sleeping for one whole day, I am not greedy just one day.............comfortably. How things change :) Since bending is virtually impossible and everything on the home front is pretty much done, I have been making jewelry like all day and I am really learning and improving. I am taking The Boho Earrings Class which so far is so fabulous and is rich with information. I am happy to take this class now to keep my mind off the various pains that I have, especially in my legs what the hell is up with that!? Everything just cramps up even my toes! Can't even drive because of that for obvious reasons a numb cramped leg isn't that great for safe driving...................... So I have really been home allot but it has been so hot so there is nothing that beats ice cream and air conditioning.

Anyways after Isabella has arrived me and the hubby will be going to sell my jewelry and beads at local venues again. I also have a few stores that just opened in my area, that I could sell my stuff on consignment at. I have many many things to sell and I love doing that in person because I get to meet new people and I love the atmosphere. I do well when ever I make any appearances, so I love being a Flea Market Girl, also they always have the most delicious food at Flea Markets............. which brings me to tell you we may be starting a whole new thing, by next summer, my husband is like a Grilling King and wants to bring his food to the public, he is an excellent cook as well. He loves feeding family & friends so it's something that he really is happy doing and people have started to tell him that he should try to do something with his tasty talents and bring it to a public venue. I'm in of course!

My whole pregnancy I gained only 15 pds, because it is good healthy foods that we eat. But not for anything he makes spare ribs that if you shake the rib once the meat just falls off the bone. He also started a veggie garden so now we have tomatoes, salad, squash and herbs galore. What beautiful salads we have made! I think my custodian husband is really a chef at heart.

You know in these hard times I think it pays to be creative, and an approach that is simple is key. Home skills like cooking, knitting, sewing, cleaning, taking care of children/elderly are all really marketable right now.

I was always able to make money "unconventionally" even though it is really difficult right now. I think it is now more common that people are trying to have home based business's since many people have lost their jobs and have to feed families so they learn real quick what else they can do and what they are good at to make money. Who wouldn't want to be their own boss and have food on the table and lights on while doing something they enjoy.

An example is all these talented artists who make their own online workshops. Some of them otherwise would not have any income or wouldn't be able to reach people to take their classes, but they learn how to use the computer to their advantage by doing videos and pdf's, marketing and so much more! They don't have to go anywhere but their living room if they so choose so I think that is............. Amazing! I love online workshops, my favorites are Suzi Blu, Tam Lamporte, Deryn Mentock. These are the pioneers who are paving the way at new type of "unconventional" jobs that DO make money, using their skills! So there it is, do what you love and don't think inside the box.

I really love all the jewelry that Deryn Mentock has made and I will be taking her new Boho earrings class, the link is to the right if you also want to check out The Boho Earrings class. This is why I love online workshops like hers because you can learn on your own time and you never have to brush your hair and go somewhere other than your living room lol. I have some time before baby so I wanted to take this class so I will have something fun to do while I am at home waiting. Anyways these earrings are awesome and I never took a jewelry class before and think its time.

I want to perfect my own techniques and learn more to make my own jewelry better. I started to make my own ear wires and that's pretty fun and gives all the jewels a more handmade unique feel. I want to learn to do MORE MORE MORE. We are waiting for our new camera, I can't wait to take pics of the new stuff I have been working on. The other camera is broken so that is why I haven't been able to put anything on Etsy in a while.

Just Stopping By And Thank You Artists

So I'm due soon and have had some stuff like an upper respiratory infection going on, which is still bringing me down a bit, but I have to say I am feeling okay, I just try to keep positive and keep it moving................. Very bad leg cramps and sciatica is the new thing but I still am so happy to be pregnant, just now I really can't wait till Isabella is out! July better be here before I know it! I have a few collaborations in the works, with my mom in regards to jewelry. I think I needed some new eyes on some projects that had collected around the studio. I found some great items at a local antique shop, I found a pretty silver cross, and two Mary pendants and a vintage rosary. The best part was everything was so reasonably priced! I also found a vintage necklace of white bone carved beads, so I can't wait to use those up. I think I am going to start selling my jewels and stuff here on my blog for now anyways, Etsy is way too involved for me right now and I have tons of great stuff to sell, so I want to have an Isabella Sale.

Feeling The Blaaas And Fantastical Stories

Going to the doctor tomorrow to try to get something for this awful cough I have, which I think is just from allergies, but I haven't slept for a few nights so I want to see what I can take that is Pregnant safe because everything I wanted to take of course was not recommended. So I have been just drinking hot teas with fresh lemon......At night and in the morning is the worst.

So off I go tomorrow.

Taking a break from the computer and tv for a little while, I just need some time to recenter myself and recapture some lost time.

I always wanted to write and illustrate children's books, so starting this project now, before baby arrives and while I am on the sofa resting seems like an ideal time. I already have my inspiration and a fantastical story in mind. I hope to perhaps publish it on my own and as a gift for my Isabella.

I Dream Of Rose Gardens

What beautiful weather we are having. We have been busy taking care of home type stuff. This week major things are going on like painting the house. Working on the garden too, got some mulch and we are going to put lots of Roses with lattice and Peonies and my beloved Dalia's. Me and my husband love the country and the feel of an airy cottage, so despite the fact we live in the city we are trying to capture our own slice of heaven. We decided to go with like an ocean shabby chic color palette with Martha Stewart paints. In my dining and living room which is one large open space will be a sand hue and in the kitchen will be a lovely blue turquoise. In our bedroom a beautiful delicate sea glass green and for our baby's room a soft blushing pink. I think it will look simply calming and stunning. I love decorating with soft silky fabrics and having lots of fresh flowers in the house. Seashells here and there are thrown in for an ocean washed look..........So pretty!

Jewelry Is The Plan

I am going to make some beautiful new shabby chic jewelry and take pictures of some older pieces that I have, hopefully there will be sun! That is sometimes an issue in NY.

Here are some of the materials that I will use for my own little Glama Bead Party (Giggles)

There are all sorts of goodies on this platter, mother of pearl shells and buttons, sea glass, little religious charms and semi precious stones like peridot, amozonite, citrine, garnets and malachite. There is also the most amazing oxidized wire to put it all together. So my inspiration for these jewels are sun washed metals and shabby chic pale ocean tumbled stones. And of course obscure elements.

Paintings For Isabella

Just felt like saying Hello to you all and showing you what I have been up to!

I have been finishing up two painting that I am making for my daughter's room. Since I like the drama of the shabby chic I wanted to make something with roses and pinks and turquoise for my Bella, so I did and I think it looks so pretty. I used the speckles of paint method using one paintbrush to hit another as droplets of magic and color appear transforming ordinary canvas to a shabby chic dream.

For the second painting I wanted to add some birds that were nesting since that is where I am at now so Voila! I made the bird's nest with some steel wire and added a speckled "baby bird" ceramic bead in the center, this canvas is textured with sand and really light color washes. I love the feel of this, I love the 3D look and feel of this artwork and it may just be my favorite!

The third is still in progress, I like the overall look of the roses but I still want to add small little flat diamond crystals and some sparkly spray................ I was thinking tattered angels in a pink and just let it drip in randomness. I just like to play and see where it takes me and when I am just free I always get a better result then when I "plan" to do something then it's like I have stage fright and I am afraid to touch anything, so not good for an artist. Lately I get my chocolate sit my big belly down and have fun, me and Isabella and sing silly songs.

Look At Those Amazing Colors!

So I am back to blogging, had a few little medical issues but Thank Goodness me and my Isabella are fine, just have been feeling a bit drained. On a good note, I started painting again and it feels really good. I am in love with making new and exciting back rounds using so many unconventional methods and my work came out so cool looking. I have just been in my own head lately and just been doing stuff that I wanted to do as far as art without any inspiration from other artists, which is nice sometimes to just do that and not feel pressure for your art to look like theirs or whatever. I am obsessed with roses so I am trying to incorporate them into my back rounds as well as a shabby "weaved" look.

Who knows maybe one day I really will have my own Art Class! With me, I know I could do it, It sometimes I can get easily distracted and now with baby on the way I really can only commit to her. My goal is to be more consistent with Art so I can grow. Painting and making jewelry really makes me so happy because it is such a joy to make things with your own two hands. I have such a feeling of accomplishment. I know many people I happen to come across just can't relate, they don't see the appeal of colorful paint splatters on hands and clothes and messy hair and pink cupcake fairy drawings. All they see is the elapsed time.

This is why I so desperately would love to teach children but more importantly adults to regain their sense of wonder and see the magic painting/art can hold.

I have so many beautiful pieces of jewelry that I will offer for sale, as a jewelry fanatic sometimes I can hoard the jewels so they don't make it to my shop :)

Yes it will be a little girl! I am so happy! Of course I just wanted a healthy baby but my heart really did long for a little girl. I have seen so many beautiful images of pregnant women and it inspired me............not only will I get my own picture taken when I am bigger lol that seems so funny because it is usually the other way around when getting a picture professionally taken right? Yes it is your favorite, silly, pregnant, hot wing eating artist chick just passing thru to say How You Doin :) Just cleaning out my art stuff as you know by now, LOL just a little OCD LOL...... and came across some Doll Parts like just arms and feet and the are kinda big not really big but to big to add to jewelry let's say. I have no idea what to do with them and they are porcelain and really cute but I want to do something with them so I don't look like a crazy lady with a box of arms, legs and feet. I'd rather be the lady with some type of cool glittered shabbified something made up of arms,legs, and feet, so at least I can say Wow look at how cool that is and I made it. So here in lies the dilemma my artistic inspiration goes on the fritz sometimes and right now it's like a full on hurricane of nothingness in the brain now, which was never my problem, my imagination was always my most prized possession, I would like to think that the little one inside is taking some of my magic and having a grand ol time in there, which is fine by me LOL

Some Amazing Art, made by my husband Chris, that he used Plexi Glass as a canvas to use acrylics on. I love the symbolic nature of this piece where he wanted to show the beauty but also the fragility of the state of our world today. He is awesome and I always try to make him do more art because he draws fantastically and paints pretty well as you can see. Feeling frustrated today........... I feel like there is so much to do and my big belly just gets in the way. It is hard to get up off the couch, so forget about trying to organize stuff on high shelves not to mention it is dangerous.............. so I fret over the stuff I can't lift and give the hubby constant reminders of stuff he has to do on the weekend, yeah as you may imagine I am really popular right about now. I am also in the midst of fixing up my craft room into a playroom for Baby, which is OK anyways because I always find myself working in my living room watching TV or listening to some tunes. So I have a really huge closet that has lots of unused space so I will be putting my crafts in there. Anyways it's all about decluttering because I want to make it all easy for myself to find things I actually need. I find it difficult to just throw stuff out because I know I have spent money on that item and at one time I thought I needed it.

So what do ya do? I guess I will have to call Salvation Army and let them have my furniture and older (and some brand new) clothing. As I have gotten older I realize stuff does NOT make one happy. As long as I surround myself with stuff I love and use daily then it's ok.

That's really all I have to say for today, I am very hungry and all I care about is what is going on in my kitchen right now, for Sunday Dinner ;)

Pregnancy is a funny time filled with all the things that you may want to finish up and accomplish and then in the next moment want to do something totally different! LOL As far as art is concerned I can't decide what I want to do anyways but now it is like x100. I am really happy and am having a great pregnancy so far, so I am lucky. What an amazing class, and for FREE this wonderful artists Tam from http://willowing.ning.com/ has given to us! I am taking this class and I swear that this is one of the best classes to learn about making an adorable pretty face and Tam is like a magical Fairy Godmother that also gives you a healthy dose of affirmations in every lesson. She is like my own little bottle of happiness! I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and just icky and so I made some time to watch Tam's videos and I was happily drawing away. Tam's technique for shading was a bit different and seemed easier for me to follow, I think it is because I am such a big fan of watercolor crayons and pencils and Voila! that is what Tam likes to use so it really showed me another possibility to add to my Art Arsenal :) I am hoping to take Tam's Fabulous Faces because I really am enjoying myself in her Art Healing Class, so come on by and join us. This is just something I was working on last night and I wanted to share it, I still have to color it in. I really LOVE to draw and play with colors. As I practice I will get better and that makes me excited to learn and continue on my art journey.

I need a new routine because I fell like I am ready to get back into shape, I am joining a gym with a pool, no more whining. I want to feel more energized because I feel tired at times and I force myself to keep going, I just don't like that feeling so I need CHANGE

Unfortunately i don't have anyone that I can walk with or depend on as far as going to workout with so I NEED to start DEPENDING ON MYSELF. I feel that I have to start doing stuff like that on my own even if it is a bit uncomfortable for me. I just have to retrain my thinking a bit. I know it will all be fine in the end I really believe that.

I have been drawing more and I like how I feel when I draw. That time is sacred to me, I like to spray some lavender oil that I dilute in a pretty spray bottle and just listen to great songs like Justin Nozuku or Francis Cabrel and just let go. I want to be more productive with my time. I have become a TV ZOMBIE again and I hate that LOL but I love Martha nd Dr Phil LOL so I tevo it all now :) I have been working on making some new mixed media paintings for Holloween here is what I have so far, a sweet and creepy little zombie gal :)

Well Looks like Fall is really here, because of course I am sick! I have been sick for a few days now and laying around really sucks. I am feeling a bit better so I thought I would say HI :) Halloween is right around the corner and I am happy to say that I will defiantly be getting into my favorite holiday's spirit! Tomorrow I am off to get a few Eerie things to put around the house, like fall flowers and hay bails and of course pumpkins!!!! This year I am going to make even spookier pumpkins than last year and I will light them with a battery operated flickering candle, so I never have to worry about burning the house down. LOL. I already have some small skeletons that I think I am going to glitter in black and gold and hang them on my porch....and I want to make some DAY OF THE DEAD masks. I will show ya pics of what I did.

Anyway so that is what I will be doing this weekend. In addition to that I am planning a lovely getaway to Salem, Mass for Halloween............... I love it there and have been a few times I will of course be visiting the scariest place on earth Hammond Castle. All I can say is that a few years back I did the whole haunted house thing and I love that sort of thing it's fun to be scared, but this place was on another level and if you do have heart problems, Don't Go, Good Luck, well, they do have ambulances and EM T's on premises. MUAHHHHHH I can't wait :)

These are just some new beads. Everything will be up on my website by the weekend. I am learning new things everyday. I made some solid colored beads a bit smaller as a compliment to the larger floral beads. They are about 12mm and are so cute! Perfect in pairs as well! I am starting to work on new floral designs and got some really beautiful glass from Italy yesterday in wonderul golden colors. I want to try making some more transparent colors with speckles of goldstone.

Suzi Blu has a fabulous new class on YES, MERMAIDS!!! I really love her art work because it is so colorful and truth be told, when I get down, Suzi gets me out of my funk and I paint and loose myself in the brilliance that is art, for that I love her. I have taken many of, OK all of her classes and every one is wonderful. VISIT HER http://suziblu.ning.com/ I am trying to be more "social" these days. I want art friends! I need to find some kindred spirits in the NYC area. LOL I am recruiting my mom for now, who just retired and now wants to make jewelry with me which is sorta cool. As I get older I have grown to appreciate my mom more. She has always been there for me, even if at the time I didn't see it. There is no one that can replace a mom. I have some issues, so bear with me because at times I am literally all over the place! I saw some interesting brain scans that showed "normal" brains and those of someone with ADHD, one is all nice and green and the other was an explosion of color! LOL

I refuse to take any medicine, because I have in the past and it was very shortly lived for me because I felt like complete shit. No Thanks. I am ordering these drops that increase the production of Dopamine. I am into natural remedies and want to live healthier. Advice was to change my diet, more fish, red wine, fish oil pills and to get my body moving. This will improve focus and concentration. We shaall see. I am also going to start frigging excising! I haven't in such a while that things are starting to creak and I am so not cool with that. As usual I hate conventional workouts which won't even keep my interest long enough to get results, so I did some research an I found a local place that has Belly Dancing lessons OOOOHHHH AAHHHHH and you know what, I don't care that I actually have a belly. there are also Salsa Classes. That may be fun to do with Chris. Again, We shall see. All I know is, WHATEVER I WANT TO DO, I WILL AND THIS IS MY BODY AND NO ONE HAS A RIGHT TO SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT IT. So if you want to do something, don't let anyone stop you, because the disappointment of a life not lived will rest only on you. Change That! I do however like to walk and used to walk everywhere and do over 2 miles a day and I used to dance too. Wow that's allot of I used to......... Don't we all feel like that sometimes? But why not now? Why? No one has the power to see into your brain and capture your fears and use them against you. You are sometimes your biggest enemy. I can tell you I have looked very harshly on myself and I don't feel like there is room for any of that anymore. So what I gained some weight, and I can't fit into that swanky Sz 12, skirt that I wore 10 years ago, when I was 21, but I have changed and my wardrobe needs to fit me not the other way around. After 10 years of growing and evolving I often find that it is the memory of what that skirt holds for me, and not the actual skirt, sometimes it is so hard to let go.

This is only one example to give you an idea of everyday chances to gain some wisdom and do something different! Throw out the fucking stupid skirt that makes you feel bad because you feel like you have to fit it and move on and get a new swanky skirt. LOL or some nice new Stewart Gill Paint because that is the me now and the me at 31 doesn't care about materialistic things as much as 21 yr old me did, so Art Supplies is the new currency :) YAY!

Sorry for the cursing storm but I am PMS-ing and had a hard day, and let me tell you I normally don't curse very often, but throwing around a F**k here and there makes me feel better sometimes. Also it does wonders on people that really piss you off, I can't tell you how far a Go F**k Yourself goes, (RESEVE THIS ONLY FOR THE HATERS) the baffled and bewildered looks you will get. I get them also because I look about 16 and everyone knows me as "Such a sweet girl" Hey even nice girls have to break out sometimes! I hear Yoga is fun, I am not sure why because wrapping yourself in a tight little pretzel doesn't really appeal to me but hey I think anything reasonable is worth a try. Of course the hubby will probably be all for that. Men, can't live with them, and you can't get away with burying them in the backyard! LOLOL Oh did I say that out loud? Love Ya Chris. My husband knows he lives with a raving lunatic better than anyone else, and his sense of humor is just as twisted as mine. He just gets me. He has recently started to help me with my artsy business and now I know that he was the missing piece of the puzzle. Besides no one reads my blog LOL Whatever, I love to blog because after a crappy day I feel like I am telling Girl Friends my stories and that feels good. When I am writing, it is one of the only times I can really focus. Back to the DREADED SUBJECT OF EXERCISE, Don't laugh, what I am about to tell you is highly embarrassing :) I LOVE RICHARD SIMMONS AND OWN HIS WORKOUTS! and if your laughing FU Very Much LOL I like people with over the top personalities. The man is like 70 and he still wears his teeny tiny bedazzled shirts and shorts and looks amazing! He is it for me. So there is my little confession. I call him my Lucky Love, he is sweet, so very sweet. I couldn't imagine my life without his antics. He snorts when he eats so I call him Little Piggy. He snores and has nightmares at night. He chases the cats and sometimes does naughty things. He loves to burrow in our blankets and will growl if anyone but me gets near him. He is an awful fuss when it comes to getting a nail trim. All in all, I love him very much and am so grateful he was chosen to be my little furry companion. He was very sick as a puppy due to his being a puppy mill pup. I didn't know that then, but it explains his utter lack of care and the frightened state he was in when I got him. Through TLC my best bud is simply perfect and healthy. Some animals aren't that lucky.

So last week I was so mad because all my glues were dry and I was not able to finish up the vintage pendants I was making. I am still cranky because I still haven't finished them. I will I will I will !!!! :) Anyways, after looking at many different glues I decided to stick with my old tried and true E6000, just in smaller size so it will not have time to dry out on me. Yes I closed it correctly. Gorilla glue is another favorite but for what I need it for it must instantly bond, and nothing else but crazy glue and E6000 do that. So it IS the best!

I was just looking around the blog world, and I saw a few challenges that seemed fun, but none jewelry related so I thought I may create my own for myself. I looked through a few of my salvages that I found at a flea market, one being an old jar of buttons and came across some odd squares that I may be able to make something wonderful with! The metal is thick and good quality so I want to wave my magic wand and create something altered and unique. I will then sell on my Etsy shop. Here are the pieces I am working with. There are about 10 of those, I think.

I am looking foreword to making something fabulous out of something that was discarded. I believe in second chances, even in jewelry! I recycle glass when I make my lamp work beads. I just hate waste. I think I will have to work on re purposing more things into my art and life.

I have been putting in allot of time into doing local fleas and creating so sleep has not been so restful for a while

I always love my quirky titles that seem perfect to go along with the ramblings in my mind. Maybe lack of the ZZZZZZZZZZZ's

I went to the doctor and the pain that has been plaguing me for 2 months had gotten so bad that I made the appointment for the same day I called! Anyways he says it was a sprained muscle on my side and that since I have been prone in the past to get sciatica, that it is pushing on my nerves and causing it to spasm. So when it does spasm it is like a knife no exaggeration, but I must be either really strong or really stupid because I haven't taken any pain meds. I guess I can just somehow deal with the pain and make my jewelry and do whatever I need to do and not feel loopy, I hate feeling loopy and having to play with my fire torch, no a good combo ......Who says Art can't be a form of therapy! It works for me.

There is always a silver lining, so the pain was worse but has lessened, and I have to attribute it to going to the beach and swimming in the water. I swear, water is a healer and it is so good for you, between the burning calories and great for your spirits! I pray that the ocean will recover from disaster and that is all I can say about that without getting emotional.

I have been going nutty making glass beads and getting new gem beads and 0I almost can say I am all beaded out LOL I do have to say although I am obsessed with making glass and jewelry, my hands do hurt more than I like to admit so in a few days I can finally take a break and concentrate on packing more stuff up to sell.

I Need Glue? HAPPY 4TH TO ALL!!!!

I am making new charms so I think they look a bit unfinished so I want to attach something cute around them. I need a strong, not so toxic glue that doesn't bubble like Gorilla glue, and something maybe like E6000 but that isn't so harsh. So I am on the hunt for glue today LOL

It is my Dad's birthday today, and I heard about a newer flea in the area so I wanted to see for myself how it looked, so I am off to the flea to see if I can find anything cool to get my Dad, he loves boating and anything related to such so we'll see.

Tomorrow is the 4th, also my sister's birthday, and I am going to have a wonderful time at the family BBQ and hang out by the water and chill.

Thanks to all those who have given me nice comments regarding this matter about the seller POETSUMMER on etsy/ebay, she chooses not to refund me $237! No Goods delivered to me! Etsy hopefully will help me, but let's face it, people rip off people everyday and I just have to keep positive. I will still try to pursue this matter but I will not be updating on my blog.

I just want to be the better person, but be able to use my rights to warn others of the facts. I thought this seller was a good reliable shop, I have ordered with her in the past and now something has happened where she is unable to keep up with her shop, though she refuses to close her shop, even until all these problems can be resolved. You can't just keep selling things, take money for goods and then not deliver!

Yeah so what who cares as Joy Behr of the view says about calories! Drinking this was like indulging in the sweetness of life. I make my own latte's and they are divine! I take the left over coffee put it in a pitcher in the fridge to chill. Get a large water glass and fill it halfway put like 4 equals and some vanilla creamer and milk and chocolate shavings and add whip cream and a dash of brown raw sugar on top. So simple and good for a pick me up.

I also make another simple and delicious summer drink. I brew a large kettle full of my favorite tea which is Earl Grey and let it add my sugar and let it settle until cool and then chill. I am now trying new teas to brew like Pomegranate which is ever popular but so expensive at stores so I am making my own. Mint, Chamomile,Green,White,Black teas can all be made into a cool delicious drink and be good for you because they have those antioxidants which in a nutshell, help to heal the body. So try new combos............... I will! Yummy and saves a buck!

Me and my hubby were on holiday last week and it was wonderful! I wish he never had to work because we were so happy! I guess the stress of work really does affect most people negatively............... Sad. I am very luck I am able to stay home and do what I love. I never have the feeling of that mental stress that having an asshole for a boss that my darling husband has. We went to Cirque du Soleil OVO, it was amazing! I always love Cirque!

There is only one drawback as far as I can see in having your own business, if you are having some off days and put no effort in sales and whatever for the day, than most of the times unless your really established than you aren't making money for that day, where as you can for the most part, go to work as a zombie and still get paid.

My main motivation for really striving to be successful, other than the fact that I am an addicted jewelry maker and will never stop, I really really love it and love hand making fabulous jewelry. I want to be my own Boss Lady and I want to go to Europe! Just let's just say I have bitching about this for a while and I haven't been to France, in a long while, so I am just setting my mind to go. My hubby gets a month of vacation so I think we can work it out. My goal is to pay for the trip as a Thank You to my hubby and a sweet surprisefor both of us to Enjoy!

So I am finally putting out the right vibe Miss Universe!

It is amazing where my family lives, the ocean is a block away and the market is only a few steps away from the outdoor market place where all the food is organic and raised by farmers nearby. Two doors away from a fabulous bakery where in the morning when we wake we smell the fresh croissants.

Since my business is portable, I can even work, when need be. Since the market place is steps away I could become a vendor there and sell my jewelry. I am lucky to be able to have this opportunity. Life is too short not to take advantage of the good in life. So embrace all the good that comes your way even if it comes with responsibility.

I got some flowers and did some gardening this week. I love roses so I put some of those in and peonies, I am going to do that English garden thing that I wanted to do. I am limiting my computer usage because to be honest I think that my shabby pink laptop is the greatest invention ever, it also is such a time sucker lol that is it wastes so much time in a day. I used to be soooo productive and didn't even watch TV that much now my tv and laptop are always on. So I am limiting my computer usage, I still will be able to check emails, in all honesty who the hell really needs to check emails all day. I am going to set my life my have different priorities. This is my choice, sometimes when I shut my TV off at night I feel like Neo from the Matrix movies and just breathe a sigh of relief because I feel UN plugged. I think for right now in my life that I will be selling at flea markets, I just need those wasted minutes and seconds wasted on here. Hell, I don't even have a cell phone and I DO NOT text, if I like you I will call you and if I really like you I will invite you over for coffee and if YOUR phone rings 25 times I will ask you to shut the f%$%^ thing off. I used to have a friend who used to be having a conversation with me and someone else would call her and she would blab about nothing for 10 min and then get back to me, as we were at lunch or wherever! I was soooo hurt because I would be in the middle of trying to talk about something important. Anyways I never want to be that person. We need to really connect with each other again, I mean if you can't talk to people without texting and emailing are they really that close to you anyway why bother if we don't even want to put effort into calling a friend or not texting constantly! So sickening. Just be aware of how much time your computer sucks out of your day it may surprise you, it did me and I am changing that, more art less eye strain. I still love ya my art buddies :) Look out for more stuff coming to my Etsy site!

Thanks for those who commented on the previous post, please feel free to continue commenting. I just want to see if what I do is in line with what artists do. I like to create in the afternoon and sometimes really late at night. But I find it does shift sometimes to what I'm doing in my life. I also think weather, plays a part, I like to paint but I absolutely LOVE making jewelry so my hubster is making the backyard pretty for me and I will love so much to sit there under my white tent that I got last year and a sweet little fountain I got at Home Goods, which by the way is my Holy Grail for great pieces and even furniture, Anyways it was a steal at $50 bucks and is the color of terra cotta riles with a large basin and a huge coy fish where the water comes out and is so soothing and pretty it also has a wrought iron stand it is quite heavy and well made for the money I must say. I live in an urban area, but when I am in my garden I think I start to feel so much better, and my tent offers privacy. In May I will start planting and it really will be gorgeous. I love shabby chic so that's the direction I am going in with the yard. I want to get lots of lavender plants and some herbs.

I was looking at some places and I found a flea market for me, The Meeker Street Flea in Williamsburg they are open 7 days a week and are indoors, I am in the final stages now and I am so ready to take the leap, although I swear I feel sooooo good about this venture, it still is a bit scary. I believe that we all are made with gifts that we are given, I love interacting with people and making art, so this is why I know everything will be OK. So now I am really into promoting Creations From The Soul because I need it for me and my bills! I am cleaning out the garage tomorrow because I want to be outdoors when I need to get messy with my spray paints. It is so nice to be outside in this beautiful weather anyways, it will be good for me. Since I always loved flea markets even as a young girl, I remember loving all the bric brac colorful wonder of it all. So I am going to begin customizing furniture that I find at fleas and such sorts and give them my own Lil bit of whimsy. I can begin doing this sooooon. I think there is a return to the values we place on older things now, we are moving away from the throw it all away generation which is fine by me because if we all stopped and really thought about the shit we buy we would realize that 99% are not necessities but are items we lust for or think we need to feel better about ourselves. If we stop buying all those useless things in the long run there would be so much less waste in the world. I see a return to handmade, handcrafted items now and it makes my heart sing but we as a society we have been corn fed like cattle to be full on the garbage that our government doles out and super low prices of Wallmarts and the like who take advantage and their workers who are for the most part somewhere in an underprivileged country. Well those are jobs Americans should have working in an American based chain..... but nope...... Sigh........... It's all shit so please support your local fleas and farmers markets and Please Please, don't gasp at our price tags, we are Americans trying to feed our families and making beautiful, made with love, handcrafted merchandise that is unique and not going to fall apart or made at the expense of some poor child in Asia somewhere.

Busy Bee!

Yes that has been me as of late I will begin doing flea markets throughout Brooklyn in the coming months! I made some really great "different" art pieces so I am pleased and I feel I am now ready to do this. I think it has allot to do with the beautiful weather, I just want to be out there among the people :)

I have altered dolls, assemblage art and all sorts of cool jewelry. My hubby has even been working on some new cool things with me to sell, he is so talented! I am working really hard right now to promote myself so I am looking to get everything set up and book shows and appearances for May.

I think there are always politics involved in everything in New York to do any good fleas you have to have a sales tax id, of course Uncle Slam wants in on my itty bitty sales. Anyways it is what it is, or than I will be selling at Church basements, which is not my niche! This stupid thing held me back for a long time and no more. I want a real business where there are lots of people and that's at the bigger fleas in Ny, so this girl is going to try to make it there because then I can make it anywhere :) Silly And another thing I want to bitch about is the huge price tag to actually sell at these flea markets these days $100 a day is allot to a newly forming small business! I have been to fleas and have paid $40, but I hate to say this, you will get what you pay for.............. this is why I am a bit weary now when something is affordable which is messed up. I know I will find something perfect for me out there.

I love Williams burg Brooklyn, I love the vibe that they have going on there, there are so many wonderful places to visit there. Now that it will begin to get warmer I think it is a great place for me to go and try to peddle my artistic wares. I have started doing assemblage art and have taken a few customized projects on, so that's why I haven't been around much and Oh yes, also my laptop needs a new battery and I had all my important art programs and ART classes on that computer, so it really sucks not to be able to watch my art classes when I want! Bio Shock Love

Well today is just a lazy day since I filled my exercises quota for the week. The snow is so pretty but I hate to shovel! I am inspired by the snow, I love to see children playing and sledding with their parents. I love hot chocolate with the hubster and cuddling with my furies. I got something a bit unconventional for Valentines, well this is because I am not typical, it was a video game lol for PlayStation 3! It is called Bio Shock and it is a wonderfully inspirational game, I think I finally found my style, you more accomplished artists gals know what I mean its when you find yourself drawing something that feels good and appeals to you so much that you may change it up but the first layer are consistent. For me, I find myself making paintings that are vibrantly colored that look like they were found washed up on a black sand beach somewhere. I am fascinated by the mysterious nature of water so therefore recreate my homage by making faux patinas and worn backgrounds. I guess this is why I love Steampunkish/Bioshockish things from art to jewelry. So this is why I think my paintings will always be different than many other styles out there. I think my personality attributes to this as well...................... LOL I mean I never saw that sign, that you have to check your personality at the door. Me, I never fit into that small little box, I always say it is because I am way too voluptuous LOL :) Omg my mom has got me watching the Bachelor and I swear I want to vomit, no no literally LOL I mean c'mon why are they all like 23 and size 0, I really hate that and then the man because he is always older of course because we all know that when your 30 you are over the hill for Hollywood anyways he is so shocked it doesn't work out...............it is not the fact these girls are young but they all seem to be handpicked from Never Never Land where they were the object of every ones attention and they all come from wonderful families and have this really bratty and naivety that is anything but charming. it is enough to make a normal gal want to vomit so their it is, my sentiment on that matter. Well my hubby also did appeal to my sweet side YES I do have one of those too LOL with gorgeous black Swarovski hoop crystal earrings, they are sooooo sparkly its ridiculous!

Trader Joe's makes a nice hand milled lavender soap @ $4.95 for a huge chunk that will last a long while and fresh handmade soaps by LUSH work wonders too! So just be more aware what you put in and on your body. Check out these handmade, cruelty free products from Lush, I actually use these and I love the coconut bar with the pieces of coconut at the end because it will make your skin smooth especially great on dry winter feet :) These products are made from like 3 or 4 wholesome ingredients, NO acids and irritants! PURE! I have ultra sensitive skin so I always used good stuff for my face, but I am getting older and the moisture is harder to keep in but the trick is in the exfoliation. LADIES YOU NEED TO EXFOLIATE! or your moisturizer can't get in! My routine works for me but sometimes dullness sets in, but there are going to be those days when you feel worn out, that is what The Body Shop's pink iridescent blush is for! :) In the meantime a wise and wonderful esthetician that I used to work with, told me that it is almost always better to use a pure extra virgin olive oil or 100% pure Aloe as moisturizer, they will only help heal and soothe your skin and I do take that advice. You can also use a yummy smelling apricot oil from Burt's Bees which has to be my favorite because it has such a delicious smell :) LUSH is affordable you get a really big chunk of soap for $8 bucks, and the people who work there are really nice and usually will let you get a little more for your buck :)http://www.lushusa.com/shop/products/bath/soap/

Whole Foods Is It The Best? And If So Why?

I started walking at night again, not for very long but I feel really good and want to keep doing it. I cleared my mind and it was so nice. Right now I am limiting my processed foods, as much as I can. I have been eating lots of vegetables, and This Saturday I am going to the infamous WHOLE FOODS, organic grocery store, I will slowly incorporate seasonal organic vegetables in my diet and the rest will have to be frozen. So I am thinking of picking up spinach and cabbage, carrots, zucchini, and a few potatoes. I can make a wonderful cabbage soups and I don't have to buy big amounts of this higher priced produce, or buy in bulk. Cost DOES matter to me but I will try to shop as smart and as healthy as my budget allows. I am also getting those tupperware sets, and start preparing my food at night. I will also report back on some prices on produce and other goodies. I never really went to Whole Foods so it is kind of like a whole new world for me, but I want to see these amazing results that everyone on an organic lifestyle claim to have found. I have looked in my fridge, and of course right now, there are things in there that aren't that great, so I want to get rid of that stuff too. My whole goal is to loose weight, but I realize it is so much more than just that! I want to have energy throughout my day, I want my skin to be more radiant. I want clarity and focus. I also will get some type of healthy chocolate like maybe some dark chocolate or something good that isn't bad for me. I also want to look for a healthy sugar substitute, for when I do indulge in my cappuccinos and rich hot chocolate..............I use Equal now, but I am sure there are more natural products I can use. On a good note, I think that the non processed foods will naturally have less sugar and additives so just that will get me on my way. My sugar sometimes goes so low and then I get dizzy and have to eat anything sweet to make myself feel better which are lots of empty calories. Also watch what you eat when you watch TV, I like to snack at this time too and I need a crunchy healthy snacks LOL and not raw veggies too much of that stuff makes me sick :) I think that for me I will prepare my meals a night before and tupperware them for the next day including three small but tasty and healthy snacks and maybe 4 small meals, I have to see what is going to work for me, I also do not want to be a slave to healthy living either, so if I can simplify and make my life easier. Right now, I am researching Organic Living, and the benifits, so I am reading and googling lots, and I will report back my findings.
